I went to one last fall and it was absolutely amazing!  It is a great way to try new products from local and national vendors while accomplishing your grocery shopping.
These events are well worth checking out!

Alive! Expo at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall

Alive! Expo is "The Natural Products & Green Living" consumer event. Every year Alive! Expo brings together local and national companies that specialize in natural and organic products, natural and organic foods, environmental, Green and Eco products for the home, pets, and the whole family, recyclable products, naturopathic & alternative practitioners, chiropractors, vitamins and supplements, as well as health food retailers and community non-profit organizations. At the expo, companies showcase information about their products and services to thousands of individuals interested in leading a green, clean and healthy lifestyle. Alive Expo is a fun and exciting weekend event for the entire family.

I wanted to make sure that you knew about the upcoming gluten free taste fair at Whole Foods Market's Hollywood location on Saturday FEB. 27th from 1-4pm or until they run out. Be sure to get there early! In addition they are going to have a gluten free pizza, pasta, and salad lunch for a $5 donation to the Whole Planet Foundation.
It’s the first one at their new store location, hope you all can make it!

Gluten Free Beer Tasting Event

Harvester Brewing is having a gluten-free beer tasting event October 28th at 7:00 pm in the Brooklyn neighborhood. We are in the start up process of opening Portland's first gluten free brewery.

 

The entire event is free.

 

We will have several styles of gluten-free beer including pales, ambers, browns, and a couple of seasonal suprises.

 

There will be gluten-free food pairings by local chef Ralph Capolupo.

Lamb's Market's at Palisade's will be hosting a celebration of their recent remodel with a fun food fair on Oct. 13th 4:30-7:00pm. They'll have several vendors on hand to sample GF products.

Their annual Holiday Showcase takes place on Nov. 4th as well. 4:00-7:00 pm.

GLUTEN FREE TASTE FAIR - AUG 18TH

WHOLE FOODS (Bridgeport Location) will be holding a Gluten Free Taste Fair on Saturday, August 18th from 1-5pm. FREE.

It will be located around the Seasmoke café area at the back of the store. This area has a fully functioning kitchen where they'll be preparing gf goodies all afternoon. They will also have samples surrounding the entire area and will be sampling sorghum beer as well.

Gluten Free Beer Tasting! - AUGUST 3rd

Perusing the New Seasons flyer that came in the paper today, I saw that there will be a "Gluten-Free Beer Challenge" tasting at the Concordia (NE PDX) store on 8/3 from 4-7 p.m.

Coffee Plant Event Review

I'm sorry I missed this event; it looks like everyone had a great time sampling all the goodies!



Thanks to Mike and Ann for expanding their gf menu which now includes soups, salads, and sandwiches made on gf bread for lunches while dinner offerings consist of mixed plates and gf noodle dishes. They also have one gf beer available as well as red and white wine. They've promised to keep us posted on our progress and will post menus and catering info on their website as things develop.

Also sorry about my error in the previous post about the Coffee Plant. There's no GF Pizza - YET! It's still on the "to do" list and gives us all something to look forward to! I'll be sure to let you all know when GF Pizza happens at the Coffee Plant.
