Mentor Program to Help With the Holidays

It is hard to ignore that the holiday season is upon us. This season tends to have its stresses as it is, but if you have recently started a gluten-free diet, you likely have a hundred questions. What do I expect, how do I explain my diet, what will be safe for me at the Thanksgiving table? If you would like someone to talk with or to, gather some tried and true recipes for stuffing or pie, or get gluten-free hints. We can even provide ideas of how to convince your in-laws to cook gluten-free (if their cooking is worth the challenge). The mentor program consists of several well-seasoned gluten-free members of the local Portland Gluten Intolerance Group. We provide general hints of local restaurants, shopping stores, as well as support for difficulties you may be having while adjusting to your diet.

If you would like to chat with a mentor, please email me with your name, contact information as well as information on your circumstances. Please include how long you have been on the GF diet, other food allergies you may have as well as a little bit about yourself. The goal of the mentor program is to help you have the right tools and knowledge to have a safe, gluten-free, and enjoyable holiday season.
