Nov 17, 2012 GIG of McMinville hosts a huge GF Thanksgiving Feast. It is always a great time with lots of wonderful food. Dozens of people attend this amazing meal. Bring your best gluten-free potluck dish with copies of the recipe and there will be provided GF turkey, GF ham and GF rolls waiting for you. RSVP's a must to Susan (info below).
Make it a day in the Willamette Valley. Check out the Evergreen Air & Space Museum and their Wings and Waves Water Park or see Howard Hughe's Spruce Goose, the largest airplane ever built. Sip some vino at a local winery, such as R. Stuart and Co right in downtown McMinnville, Eyrie Vineyards on NE 10th, Panther Creek Cellars just off of NE 5th, or Yamhill Valley Vineyards a short drive out of town or Westrey Winery, only open three weekends a year, including the weekends before and after Thanksgiving. What a treat!
This amazing gluten-free potluck is held every year at the First Baptist Church of McMinnville, right in beautiful downtown McMinnville. It's a feast not to be missed. So fun! People from the GIG chapters of Portland, Salem, McMinnville and Lincoln City all come, as well as others from all over the region. Great camaraderie and great ideas for your own Thanksgiving and Holiday meals to come.
